Muhammad Abid and Anjum Bashir visited KEMU in November and December 2007 respectively. They had useful and positive meeting with Professor Mumtaz Hassan, Vice Chancellor and Professor Mahmood Shaukat. The KEMU has set up a Visiting Faculty program where interested Kemcolians in the USA, Canada and UK will be able to do teaching rotations and workshops at KEMU on a formalised basis. If someone is an Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in a UK university and does a teaching assignment at KEMU, he or she will also be awarded an honorary Associate Professorship at KEMU. This is a very useful way to contribute towards education at KEMU and give back to our Alma Mater. Any educational programme less then 2 weeks is also encouraged. We hope you will consider donating some of your time to this endeavour.
Department of Pathology at the KEMU is also looking for some accredited trainers in the UK who could supervise PhD students. Please contact Professor Muneer, Department of Pathology if you are interested.
Chief Librarian at the KEMU will welcome any donation of recent books or journals as well. If you want to send any material please contact Mr Saleem Pervez (chieflibrarian@kemu.edu.pk).
Anjum Bashir also represented KEMCA UK in the Alumni meeting held in December at the KEMU. He gathered useful of ideas from KEMCAANA colleagues on joint activities.
